Jonathan Miller brings strong analytical and economic development research skills to Market Street, honed in both public and private settings. He is currently leading  research efforts as part of the Opportunity Austin 3.0 strategy and a Community and Economic Development Strategy in Rome, Georgia. He recently worked on economic development strategies for the greater Madison region in Wisconsin; Vestavia Hills, Alabama and Gwinnett County, Georgia.


Prior to joining Market Street, Mr. Miller worked for Georgia Power, where he performed research for local economic development partners, industrial prospects, and state-level business sector targets. Mr. Miller also served as a Policy Intern in the (Georgia) Governor’s Office, where he focused on legislation pertaining to taxes, natural resources, and economic development. As a graduate research assistant he analyzed the effects of minority business ownership on community development and appeared on CNN’s Ali Velshi, for a segment on the effectiveness of government.

Mr. Miller holds a Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration in Planning and Economic Development from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy from Vanderbilt University. As part of his Spanish minor, he spent a semester in Madrid, where he studied the economics of the European Union. In recognition of his achievements at the Andrew Young School, Mr. Miller was awarded the Dan Sweat Fellowship and the Diane R. Caves Award.
