As a Project Manager, Matt DeVeau provides analysis for our client communities and works directly with our clients to develop strategies and provide implementation guidance. Matt’s current and recent projects include Halifax County, Virginia; Pearland, Texas; Spartanburg, South Carolina; St. Petersburg, Florida; and Topeka, Kansas. Matt previously worked as a Research Associate at the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce. At the Chamber, he supported the efforts of Partnership Gwinnett, Gwinnett’s community and economic development plan that was created through a Market Street-led process.
Matt holds a Master of City and Regional Planning with an emphasis in land-use planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash. He completed the IEDC Basic Economic Development Course in 2012.
After stops in seven states and the District of Columbia, Matt lives in Chicago with his wife, daughter, and miniature schnauzer mix. As a new Chicago resident, he spends his free time enjoying the city's architecture, history, and sports teams and aspires to visit all 145 "L" stations in a single day.
